Tourism Scam by Phone on Alonissos and Skopelos

It appears that there is a scam operating at the moment where a man called "Smith" is telephoning businesses operating in the tourist sector on the Islands of Alonissos and Skopelos. He states on the phone that they can join a European Programme to strengthen their businesses which will amount to 20000 to 30000 Euro. They are then told that to enter this programme they will need to put some money up front and send it to them immediately.

THIS IS A FRAUD!!!

If anyone has had one of these calls please contact the local Police immediately who will be aware of this attempted fraud.
