The First Beer of Alonissos


At last some local beer!


This is a local beer that aims to quench anyone wants to taste a handmade, fresh, unpasteurized and unfiltered beer on hot summer days.


George Anagnostou launched the idea of preparation beer by Monachus Brewing few years ago in the kitchen of the restaurant, the Dentrolimano in the Votsi area of Alonissos.


The first beerl, Hoppy Seal, is a modern Pilsner with intense bitterness with three American hops, which impart citrus flavors, suitable to accompany a summer meal by the sea.


In cooperation with the brewery Thessaly in Volos who are brewing and bottling the product. This product can be found at the moment in the island of Alonissos.

Manufacturer George Anagnostou and all the rest of the group are waiting for the opinion of the public and hope to find positive local entrepreneurs to start to look at brewing other beer types.
