Emergency Connections to the Mainland even in Bad weather

I am sure that many of us on the Island heard and saw the helicopter flying across Alonissos and landing on the Helipad. This was for the evacuation of a young girl with pneumonia and was used because of the heavy seas stopping any sailings.

Again this shows that whatever the circumstances, in an emergency we can be looked after, well done to all those concerned.
