Alonissos to get an early warning system to detect fires in high risk areas

Alonissos is to get a new early warning system to help fight fires starting in high risk areas. The system will be connected to cctv systems and networks cameras to detect early smoke or flame, this information will be then sent to the control centre where the authorities will be then informed. this doesn't come cheap though , looks like the initial quote is just over 52000 Euro.

Well worth it if it can catch fires early though.
