The 2 surprise sponsorships of the President of Seajets and AEK Marios Iliopoulos in Alonissos

Marios Iliopoulos, the President of Seajets and AEK, provided two sponsorships to the Municipality of Alonissos in response to a request from the municipality.

During a recent meeting of the municipal committee, Mr. Iliopoulos, in response to a request from the Municipality, expressed his desire to generously sponsor the upgrade of the Alonissos Primary School courtyard. This initiative holds considerable significance for the local community, families, and primary school students on the island.

Furthermore, it was revealed that there is an intention to provide sponsorship for the organization of the Municipality's cultural events to enhance the island's cultural identity and promote Alonissos as a sustainable tourist destination.

The Municipality emphasizes that the sponsorships will be prominently featured across all printed and digital materials related to the initiative, including posters, within the school community, in press releases, and through the Municipality's official channels.

In response to the Municipality's request for sponsorship to support its cultural activities, Mr. Iliopoulos approved a sponsorship of 15,000 euros. Additionally, for the request related to upgrading the courtyard of the Alonissos Primary School, Mr. Iliopoulos approved a sponsorship of 25,000 euros. During its meeting, the Municipal Committee accepted the grant of 15,000 euros for cultural activities and the grant of 25,000 euros for the courtyard upgrade at the Alonissos Primary School.

It is important to highlight that tourism is the primary driver of Alonissos' economy. The island caters to various forms of tourism, including nature, diving, adventure, religious, medical, and honeymoon tourism. Alonissos predominantly draws visitors looking for peace and relaxation, as it is more serene than the other Sporades islands.
