Pollution of Patitiri Port

Last Saturday, marine pollution, measuring approximately twenty square meters in the form of an iridescent film of petrol, was detected in the port of Patitiri, Alonissos.

A Patrol vessel of the Hellenic Coast Guard conducted agitation to break up the film, with some great success.

An investigation of the engine rooms of the docked vessels was carried out for bilge leaks, with negative results.

The investigation continues.
