"Life is Valuable. Safeguard it." Alonissos Police give out free crash helmets to riders

Police officers from the Alonissos Police Station undertook an initiative that brought smiles to the faces of both residents and visitors of Alonissos.

In a meaningful yet symbolic preventive measure, police officers provided cyclists with new helmets, imparting the message: "Life is valuable. Safeguard it."

The event occurred on July 1, 2025, in a central area of the island, receiving favorable feedback from both locals and visitors.

Amidst a persistently high number of fatalities and severe injuries from traffic accidents, such initiatives convey a message to the public: “The police stand with citizens – prioritizing their safety and lives.”
