German tourist injured at Skiathos Airport after being swept away by a jet blast from an aircraft during takeoff

The event took place on a road close to the airport, a spot where onlookers frequently assemble to observe planes taking off and landing from a short distance.

As the aircraft started accelerating for takeoff, two young German women were directly in the path of the jet blast. The force violently knocked one of them to the ground.

The injured tourist was transported to a local medical facility, where it was determined that she had suffered only minor injuries.

Even with warning signs around the airport perimeter, numerous tourists still approach the fence during takeoffs, disregarding the dangers of engine thrust.
